When I was headed to workout this morning I had a bit of a delay crossing a major intersection.  Luckily for me, I looked at the time when I first stopped.  I waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited.  I waited some more and then even more.  I was just about to cross over and then several cars dotted by again blocking any chance to get to the other side.  I was just about to get frustrated with all this waiting but then there was an opening and I crossed the street.

I drove about a half mile down the road and started thinking about this.  I looked at the clock and that really got me thinking.  Two minutes had passed from the time I stopped until I was already across the street.  JEEEZ!  2 Minutes?  Seriously, that is not long at all.  All this got me thinking.  Why do we have to be in such a hurry all the time.  2 minutes, I still can’t believe that I was starting to get anxious in that short of a time.  Really, 2 minutes!

I am so grateful this happened to me this morning.  It was a good reminder to SLOW down and get with the flow.  Stop trying to rush through life.  I say enjoy the ride and take time to experience the beauty that is all around us.

With gratitude,

Bill

I discovered something interesting today.  No matter how positive a person you can be, you still have to deal with negative STINKIN’ THINKIN’.  I had some stuff come up today that really set me back.  And man, I really STUNK!  Luckily, I have a SUPER COOL wife who helped me get back into a positive mode.

You have to make a conscious effort to stay positive these days and that is exactly what I am intending this week to be.  And you know what?  This week will be a super one for me.  So, how you are doing?  Are you staying positive and working through the affirmations and visualizations?  I can tell you that I have and it really, really makes a difference for me.  Keep up the good work and have a super fantabuliscious week!

Peace and gratitude,

Bill

bonus_1Last night I was thinking about the week ahead of me.  It dawned on me that I have the power to create the kind of week I want.  So, this week I am going to create a happy, peaceful and abundant week.  To assist me in creating the incredible week, I plan to do a 15 minute visualization during the day.  I will also do positive affirmations throughout the day.  I will do these affirmations in the morning, around lunch time, mid afternoon, at supper time and just before I go to sleep.  To supercharge my incredible week, I also plan to do a visualization at bedtime.

We all deserve happiness, peace and prosperity.  Why not join me today in creating the week that you desire?

With peace and gratitude,

Bill

This morning I was sitting in the steam bath after working out.  I had my hands together kind of like a prayer position sweetiewhere my two thumbs were touching each other.  My first reaction was to see that these thumbs are identical but upon further examination I noticed they were not.  It got me thinking…

Even though each thumb has the same purpose, they are separate from each other.  It is kind of like the world we live in today.  I believe that we all have the same purpose in life.  We are here to love and to help others that do not live it.  Now, the love I am talking about is not just a romantic love and finding a soulmate.  Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Our common purpose is to love one another.   Plain and simple.

We got back home last night from our November stay on the beach.  I have to say that it was really difficult leaving this year.  After working out this morning, I went to the Post Office to get our mail for the past 30 days.  As I got in my car, STINKIN’ THINKIN’ started.  It sounded something like this: “Boy, I forgot that it is December.  The Post Office is going to be packed!  You probably don’t want to go at this time.  I bet it takes 30 minutes to get the mail.”

If you have read any of my other post office posts, you would immediately recognize what I was doing.  I was setting myself up for a very unpleasant visit to my local post office.  The cool thing about becoming aware of STINKIN’ THINKIN’ is that you can change it.  So, immediately I started doing affirmations such as, “It is going to be a quick in and out.  I bet there is hardly anyone in line.  I am so happy and grateful that I now have picked up my mail in less than 5 minutes.”

Well, as I drove up, the parking lot was packed!  STINKIN’ THINKIN’ returned and in return, I changed it to positive affirmations.  As I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised that there was not a single person in line even though they had only clerk behind the counter.  I walked up, gave my ID and had my mail in about 2 minutes.  Now how SA-Weet is that?  As I was leaving (and exactly as my other posts stated) the line was starting to form.

One thing is for certain.  Positive Thinking is always better than STINKIN’ THINKIN’.  Remember that the next time you catch yourself in a STINK Mode and you might be pleasantly surprised.

With peace and gratitude,

Bill

This morning I was sitting in the sauna and was drinking from my water bottle.  After I finished all of the water inside, I set the bottle down next to me.  After a few minutes, the bottle tipped over due to the pressure building up inside.  img_0872That got me thinking that it is very similar to dealing with anger or things that upset you.  If you do not find a way to release the negative emotions, you will literally “blow” your top because of all the pent up emotions.

Hold it up Mr Bill!

After I stepped out of the sauna and into the shower, I noticed the bottle did a 180.  It had compressed so much that it could not stand up.  This too got me thinking.  When you have negative things happen to you and you share too much with everyone else, you can easily topple over due to spreading too much negativity.  I am not saying you should not share with others.  No, not at all.  What I am saying is that you should find a balance.  Express yourself when you feel strong emotions (but do so in a positive way) and also express yourself to others when you are struggling with an issue.  Maybe they have an answer for you.  Just do not spend too much time talking about it and giving it more energy than it is worth.  Find a balance.  That is the key.

Peace and gratitude,

Bill

Life is ___________________________________.  I was listening to Tony Robbins today in my car and he said a few things that really got me thinking.  In his particular audio Tony was talking about metaphors.  Specifically how we use them in either empowering or destructive ways.  Take a few minutes to fill in the blank.  I suggest to write down 10 things that you believe life is.  Try to do this without thinking too much.  Just put down what you normally say or hear others saying.  Then look for anything that has a negative connotation to you and cross them out.  It is time for a new metaphor.  For example if you wrote, “Life is a struggle,” mark a line through it.  Then change it to something softer.  Maybe something like this, “Life is like the spring.  Sometimes it storms but other times it springs beautiful sunny days.”  You see, that just feels better, doesn’t it?

Life is ____________________________________.  Fill in the blank now, mark off the negative ones, and watch your life “Spring” into a brilliance.

Peace, gratitude, and sunny days!

The 8x10 Picture Frame Hanging On My Wall

In keeping with my fearless focus challenge in last month’s newsletter, I created a new mini vision board picture frame.  One thing that i noticed right away was that my emotional state was positively influenced as I was creating it.  For this one, I wanted incantations that I typically do (THANK YOU Tony Robbins!) plus some other text on this frame.  I really could feel my spirit lift and when it put me in a new state, man, my days have been FILLED with focus, creativity, and gratitude.  Those just happen to be the themes of the 3 8×10 picture frames hanging in my house that I see at least 20 times a day.

If you haven’t created your own picture frames to put on your desk, I strongly encourage you to do so NOW!  It will raise your spirits and make you feel good.
