This morning I was sitting in the sauna and was drinking from my water bottle.  After I finished all of the water inside, I set the bottle down next to me.  After a few minutes, the bottle tipped over due to the pressure building up inside.  img_0872That got me thinking that it is very similar to dealing with anger or things that upset you.  If you do not find a way to release the negative emotions, you will literally “blow” your top because of all the pent up emotions.

Hold it up Mr Bill!

After I stepped out of the sauna and into the shower, I noticed the bottle did a 180.  It had compressed so much that it could not stand up.  This too got me thinking.  When you have negative things happen to you and you share too much with everyone else, you can easily topple over due to spreading too much negativity.  I am not saying you should not share with others.  No, not at all.  What I am saying is that you should find a balance.  Express yourself when you feel strong emotions (but do so in a positive way) and also express yourself to others when you are struggling with an issue.  Maybe they have an answer for you.  Just do not spend too much time talking about it and giving it more energy than it is worth.  Find a balance.  That is the key.

Peace and gratitude,

Bill

Life is ___________________________________.  I was listening to Tony Robbins today in my car and he said a few things that really got me thinking.  In his particular audio Tony was talking about metaphors.  Specifically how we use them in either empowering or destructive ways.  Take a few minutes to fill in the blank.  I suggest to write down 10 things that you believe life is.  Try to do this without thinking too much.  Just put down what you normally say or hear others saying.  Then look for anything that has a negative connotation to you and cross them out.  It is time for a new metaphor.  For example if you wrote, “Life is a struggle,” mark a line through it.  Then change it to something softer.  Maybe something like this, “Life is like the spring.  Sometimes it storms but other times it springs beautiful sunny days.”  You see, that just feels better, doesn’t it?

Life is ____________________________________.  Fill in the blank now, mark off the negative ones, and watch your life “Spring” into a brilliance.

Peace, gratitude, and sunny days!

The 8x10 Picture Frame Hanging On My Wall

In keeping with my fearless focus challenge in last month’s newsletter, I created a new mini vision board picture frame.  One thing that i noticed right away was that my emotional state was positively influenced as I was creating it.  For this one, I wanted incantations that I typically do (THANK YOU Tony Robbins!) plus some other text on this frame.  I really could feel my spirit lift and when it put me in a new state, man, my days have been FILLED with focus, creativity, and gratitude.  Those just happen to be the themes of the 3 8×10 picture frames hanging in my house that I see at least 20 times a day.

If you haven’t created your own picture frames to put on your desk, I strongly encourage you to do so NOW!  It will raise your spirits and make you feel good.

I am making today a Gratitude Day.  I am challenging myself to give gratitude at least 1,000 times.  Some of the things I will do is say “Thank You God, Thank You” many, many times as well as think of as many gratitude thoughts as I can.  I will review some notes that I made last month as I reflected on all of my accomplishments of 2008.  I will read the list often and I will give gratitude to God for such a wonderful day!

Thank you God, Thank you! (See, I already have 2 with 998 more to go!)  2009 will be my BEST year EVER!

Peace and gratitude, (997 left)

Bill

This morning I was driving to the health club and watched as freezing fog invaded my town.  As I thought about the fog, I knew there was clear sky above it and it got me thinking.  Many of us get smothered in negativity and negative thinking.  Sometimes it is so persistent we can’t see the good in anything.  It is kind of like that fog I saw this morning.img_0822

One thing about positive thinking is that sometimes you have to trust that there is something good going to happen to you.  When I get into any kind of negative state, I see it as a signal that I need to change my thinking because if I don’t, I am destined to have a miserable day.  img_0819Sure, some days are more difficult than others but when that happens to you, think about this fog example.  Realize that there are blue skies awaiting you if you can change your thoughts.  Before you know it, things will clear up and you will discover that you had nothing to worry about at all.

Peace, love, and positive thoughts,

Bill

For those of you who received my eNewsletter last week, I thought I would share with you how I am doing the exercise this month.  For those of you who have not signed up for my eNewsletter, not to worry.  I will recap the exercise right now:

My 3 Frames for 2009

My 3 Frames for 2009

January’s Fearless Focus section of my newsletter challenged you do the following:

1) Create (3) 8×10 Picture frames based upon themes you want to accomplish in 2009.  Mine were: Focus, Creativity, & Gratitude. (See image below)

2) Decide which theme you want to work on this month.

3) Create a 8×10 mini vision board each month of this year based upon the theme from those frames.  (See my January’s FOCUS mini vision board below.)

My FOCUS Mini Vision Board

4) Place it on your desk or close to a place where you will see it all during the day.  Take a few minutes to review the images, words, theme, etc. throughout your day.

I thought it would be a good idea to illustrate how I am doing the exercise.  I  believe that it is important to stay “focused” on your goals for 2009 especially with so many negative people voicing their opinion these days.  If you haven’t had a chance to look at the vision board software from my newsletter, you really should take a minute to evaluate it for yourself.  Click here to check out the software. I created my FOCUS mini vision board poster using the tool in less than 10 minutes.  I then printed and framed it.  Since I will be repeating the same process each month, the vision board software is perfect for me because it saves me so much time not to mention it is so cool.  What I like best about the software is that after I created my vision board screensaver, all I had to do was click a button to get all the images imported into my new poster board.  That was how I was able to create the mini vision board in less than 10 minutes.  Click here to find out how the software can work for you. You can thank me later.
I would really like to hear how you are doing with the exercise.  Please place any comments or feedback directly using this post.
2009 WILL be my FINEST year ever!  Will it be yours?  Decide now and make it so!
Peace, love, and mucho gratitude,
Bill

How do I use vision boards to manifest my goals?  I am not someone who uses only one type, I use several.  Every January 1st since 2000, my family and I create 8×10 picture frames illustrating how we want our year to turn out.  We do 3 frames each and use a variety of different tools to create them such as markers, magazines, stickers, etc.  We put them in a place where we will see them every day.  This has been one of the most powerful tools I have used in creating the life I want.  I am amazed each year as we take down the old ones and notice all the things that were manifested the previous year.

I also create a poster size vision board.  I put it in a place that I will see it each day.  I always leave a little room to add more things/themes as the year goes on.  To fill one up completely it takes me well over a couple of years.

Lastly, I use some software called Vision Board.  This tool is AWESOME and I believe that for me, it may be the most powerful tool I have used.  Because I am typically at my computer a significant amount of time each day, I am constantly reminded about my goals and affirmations.  The tool is unique because it offers a library of affirmations, images, a movie maker, records your voice, allows sharing, & even offers you the option to create a desktop or a printed version.  I especially like the mini popups from the bottom toolbar that has my affirmations used in my screensaver vision board.

Click here to check out Vision Board. I liked the tool so much I am offering some really cool gifts for anyone buying the software.  Once you purchase it, you will get links to 13 gifts (and these gifts are really good I have to add).  I have built a vision board screensaver using this tool and will send it to you if you are interested.  All you have to do is send me an email at bill@positract.com and request a copy.

Whatever you decide to do, start your vision board today.  Whether it is creating picture frames, posters, or software, start today.  I cannot emphasize this enough so get started today.  Be sure to place your vision board in a place you will see it every day.  I would love to see pictures of your vision boards once you create them so send me some images when you are ready.

Happy Manifesting!  Peace and gratitude,

Bill

I was sitting in the hot tub tonight looking out toward the Gulf of Mexico and replaying the last eight months in my mind.  I recall when I gave my notice at my corporate America job it was the single hardest thing I have ever done.  I had heard stories of others doing the same thing and when I heard them, I couldn’t even phathom the idea of doing myself.  Aferall, I was in an executive level position with even higher levels of positions and salaries locked in my sights.  I gave my notice anyway and I give thanks every single day for making that choice.

What I have learned from this experience is that when you give gratitude for things that have not yet happened, amazing things start showing up.  For me, each morning and evening I give thanks to God for all the wonderful gifts that are on its way as well as the ones I have already received.  I believe that this opens doorways because when you give gratitude for something you don’t have, it is like you are telling the universe it has already happened.

Bob Proctor uses something called a “Goal Card.”  On this Goal Card he starts each goal this way, “I am so happy and grateful now that…..”  I think it is an ingenious idea and it is what I have been doing since for the past eight months.

Give gratitude daily and watch what wonders the universe has in store for you.

Peace AND Gratitude,

Bill

Earlier today, I was making a goal card to put in my pocket.  I put packing tape on it to keep it from tearing up.  When I was trimming the edges, a piece of tape fell on the floor.  I looked down and could not find it anywhere.  I rubbed my hand over the carpet but did not see or feel it at all.  I forgot about it and walked away.

When I came back to my office later, I saw it immediately.  It got me thinking.  Just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it is not there.  It is kind of like the power of positive thinking.  It is not something you can see, but for me, I know it is there.  If you work too hard at positive thinking, you can easily miss the message or miss something right in front of your eyes.  When you learn to trust that all will work out, it will.  It is through positive thinking and visualization that you get to reach your goals.

A very easy way to start working on your own positive thinking is to do a fun and easy exercise called, “Take Out Your STINKIN’ Trash”.  Click on the link and check it out.  It is the very first step to changing negative thinking to something positive.  I know I take my trash out all the time and when I do, I feel so SA-WEET!

Peace and gratitude,

Bill

If you read my post from yesterday, you would understand the title of this one.  All I can say is WOW!  I recall laying in bed yesterday having slept less than 4 hours and thinking that I was going be tired all day.  I then made a conscious effort to create my own day.  If you haven’t ever tried this before, I urge you to try it once and decide for yourself if it works.

I’m not going to give you all the details of how my day went but I can tell you that by the time I got ready for bed, I was so excited I couldn’t even begin to try to go to sleep.  During the day, an idea come to me that hit me like a lightning bolt.  I believe it occured because I consciously chose to create a beautiful day filled with love, peace, and service for others.  And boy did it work!

Seriously, even if you have already started your day, take a moment to create something different.  Try it once and feel free to send me your comments.

Peace, love, excitement, and gratitude,

Bill
